BIOPAMA grantee Honeyguide Foundation implements site-level assessment of governance and equity (SAGE)

The BIOPAMA grant-making facility has launched at the end of 2020 a new type of grant, “Small Technical Grants for Assessments”, aiming at identifying or updating result-oriented priority actions for improved protected and conserved areas’ management and governance in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific. These grants support the implementation of new or updated quantified management and governance assessments and their associated enhancement plans.

One of the BIOPAMA Small Technical Grants for Assessments grantees, the Honeyguide Foundation, has recently completed a site-level assessment of governance and equity (SAGE) in the Makame community conservation area in the northern Tanzania.
