15 February 2017

The year 2016 was marked by a very intense IMET (Integrated Management Effectiveness Tool) campaign in West and Central African countries. The BIOPAMA team in this region, the network of IMET coaches, regional organizations and national protected areas agencies participated in the efforts to train 140 staff on improving protected area management effectiveness, while reaching directly a total audience of close to 600.

This short video highlights feedback from representatives of RAPAC (Central African Protected Areas Network), the Burundian Agency for Protected Areas and the Great Virunga Transboundary Collaboration (GVTC) on the positive outcomes of their collaboration with the BIOPAMA programme.
