State of Protected Area Reports
BIOPAMA will produce periodic status reports on biodiversity and sustainable resources management. The information available in these publications is drawn from the Reference Information Systems and analysed to portray the state of protected areas in African, Caribbean and Pacific regions. These publications are tools to guide decision making and investments in protected areas management and governance.
Policy briefs, publications and infographics
The knowledge generated through the use of the BIOPAMA tools and services is presented in different formats that support planning and decision making and the capacity development endeavours of the BIOPAMA programme. They include case studies (PANORAMA), situation analysis, country and protected area reports, technical briefs and other guiding publications.
In the first phase of the BIOPAMA programme (2011-2017), several publications targeting directly decision makers at all levels were developed. BIOPAMA also contributed to the production of international reports, such as “Protected Planet”.
Networking
BIOPAMA endeavours to connect with the regional, national and local actors and ensure the programme addresses needs and gaps, wherever identified. The format of those engagements is diverse, from roundtables and trainings to effective bilateral relations and participation in relevant fora. BIOPAMA aims at organizing regular roundtable dialogues to share with decision makers and the wider conservation and donor community the policy and planning recommendations resulted from the use of BIOPAMA tools.
