Consultancy: Report on regional policy and legislation related to protected area management, governance and equity

The consultant will review and evaluate relevant existing policy, legislation and literature and liaise with relevant stakeholders to develop a report on policy and legislation related to protected and conserved area governance and management in all 24 countries that fall under the BIOPAMA programme.

The expected outputs from this project relate directly to the tasks outlined above and include the following:

  • A brief inception report confirming the work schedule with task specifics, time frames and deliverables;
  • Consolidated report in distribution format based on desk review and telephonic stakeholder consultation (where necessary);
  • Final report in word format with graphics and analyses included; and
  • Draft workshop programme to build capacity, and provide support, related to legislation and policies pertaining to protected area management effectiveness and governance in Eastern and Southern Africa.
